Manchester City academy graduate Cole Palmer has cemented his place among the Premier League’s penalty kick elite after an exemplary display against Everton.

The 21-year-old has now converted all nine of his spot-kicks this season joining Manchester City legend Yaya Toure as the only players who have managed 100% conversion rate in the history of the English top flight.

The Chelsea rising star latest penalty came in Chelsea’s comprehensive 6-0 thrashing of Everton at Stamford Bridge.

The young midfielder not only scored from the spot but also netted a further three goals to inspire the Blues to a comfortable victory past Everton.

With his four-goal haul, Palmer has now scored 20 Premier League goals, tying him with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland at the top of the scoring charts.

Only Frank Lampard has scored more penalties in a single Premier League campaign for Chelsea after he converted 10/10 in 2009 season.

The growth of Palmer has made him important to the team as Chelsea continue their push for a top-table finish.

After yesterday heroics, Chelsea manager said that, “I need to be honest, of course when we signed Cole Palmer, he was a great talent.

He is doing fantastic, he is doing really well and he has adapted. The impact on the team was amazing from day one. I am so happy for him and the team.”

Palmer’s penalty prowess and overall ability has set up a debate of whether he should be considered in the senior team ahead of EURO 2024 Tournament.
