Manchester United suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

In a game full of minimal chances for United, Hojlund’s first-half attempt was cleared off the line by Mitchell, with that being the only meaningful United meaningful attempt.Crystal Palace scored the winner through a Joachim Andersen superrb strike from a corner kick.

In the second half, Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone stood strong to deny a superb strike from Bruno Fernandes and a Hojlund header. Palace were able to hold on to the win against United.

After the defeat, United boss Erik Ten Hag said his team needs to do better. “I understand fans are expecting a win, but we didn’t win and we lost,” said the Manchester United boss.”Of course it is a concern; we have to be more consistent; this is not the demand for Manchester United. The demand is that we get a row of wins and get into a series. We have to do better than now.” He said.
