Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has today highlighted the reason why deadline day signing Altay Bayindir is yet to make his debut for Manchester United during his pre-press conference ahead of Galatasaray Clash.

Manchester United signed the club’s first ever Turkish player on transfer deadline day from Fenerbahce. Since he signed for Manchester United, Altay Bayindir is yet to make any appearance as he has been unused substitute since he signed.

Speaking during the pre- press conference, Eric ten Hag said that, “We chose in the League Cup to play Onana because he has to adapt to the England standard.

He has made a very good impression in training and he’s really developing, so we’re really happy with it.We are convinced we have two bright goalkeepers.”

Bayindir is expected to cover Andre Onana in early 2024, with Andre Onana potentially heading to the African Cup Of Nations in January.

Manchester United head into Tuesday’s match in desperate need of a win after losing their Champions League opener 4-3 at Bayern Munich, United also lost on Saturday 1-0 to Crystal Palace.

The defeat meant that this is the club’s worst start to a league season after seven games in 34 years.

“Of course we are disappointed about the result,” Ten Hag said. ” Then you have to analyse the game, where were the problems, then you have to move forward, but also give solutions for the problems.” He added.

Ten Hag believes the team is moving forward despite the results, saying there are positives among the negatives.
