Harambee Starlets’ planned friendly against Albania in Tirana on April 11 has been annulled, confirms the Federation of Kenya Football.

The cause for the unprecedented cancellation has been logistical problems despite tooth and nail efforts to make the international friendly happen.

“FKF in consultation with the Ministry of Sports and the Albanian Federation has canceled the Harambee Starlets friendly match against Albania, This painful decision has been arrived at due to logistical challenges that have made it impossible to travel and arrive in Albania on or before April 11, despite concerted efforts by all concerned.” Read part of the statement.

However, FKF has promised to seek other options to make sure the Starlets’ make an international comeback for over a year.

“The federation remains committed to the wholesome development of football in Kenya and is actively engaging other countries, with a view of finding a suitable friendly match for the Starlets in the next Fifa window.” The statement added
