At the Boston Marathon 2026, history was made as John Korir delivered a sensational performance to win the race in a remarkable time of 2:01:52. His run not only secured victory but also shattered a 15-year-old course record by more than one minute, placing him among the fastest marathon runners in history.

Korir’s triumph marked his second consecutive win in Boston, confirming his growing dominance in elite marathon racing.

Close behind him was Alphonce Simbu of Tanzania, who finished second with an impressive time, followed by fellow Kenyan Benson Kipruto in third place. Both athletes ran faster than the previous course record, underlining the exceptional pace of the race.
