Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has hit out at Jurgen Klopp after his Saudi Arabian move.
The England midfielder Henderson saw his 12-year stay at Anfield come to an end. He completed his move to Saudi Arabia’s Al Ettifaq and signed a four-year contract.
Henderson yesterday opened up about the move as he revealed that he felt he was not needed at the club anymore. He also said money was not the motivation behind his move.
Henderson revealed the incident in his interview with the Athletic. “I saw Jurgen say a few days ago that he’s really happy with the transfer window and he loves his team,” he told The Athletic. “This tells you that for the players that left, he probably wanted to go, and for the players that have come in, he probably wanted to sign”. He said.
