AS Roma qualified for the Europa League finals after holding Bayer Leverkusen to a goalless draw in the second leg.

In the first half of the second leg, Moussa Diaby hit the crossbar as they tried to turn things around. AS Roma defended well, and although they did not have a shot on target, they were able to hold off the German side led by Xabi Alonso. Roma advanced to the final in Budapest on May 31, when they will play Sevilla. Mourinho has won in each of his previous five European finals games, including Roma’s Conference League victory last year.

Speaking after the game, Jose Mourinho was happy with the win. “My concern isn’t marking my place in the Roma history books,” Mourinho said. “It’s helping these kids [players] to grow and achieve important things.” It’s also helping the Roma fans, who have given me so much since day one. It’s an immense joy to get to another final.” He said.
