Jonah Ayunga,26, has signed a contract extension with St.Mirren until the summer of 2025 as he edges closer to a return from (ACL)injury. Ayunga joined Saints from English side Morecambe in 2022 on a two-year deal.
The Kenyan forward impressed in his first season with Saints, scoring seven goals in 24 appearances before rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while playing against Motherwell in January.
As the forward nears a return to action, the club has moved to extend his deal to keep him tied to Saints for a further year.
The 26-year-old, already declared his interest that he would like to represent Harambee Stars at the World Cup but he is yet to receive a call up to the Kenyan National team.
