PSG defeated Troyes 3-1 in the first game after the suspension of Lionel Messi on Sunday evening.

In the eighth minute, Kylian Mbappe gave the champions the lead, as they kept pushing for the second before the break as Fabian Ruiz forced Troyes goalkeeper Gauthier Gallon into an excellent save. Danilo Pereira, on the other hand, saw his headed effort bounce just off the crossbar.

In the second half, Ike Ugbo received the ball when Gianluigi Donnarumma dropped it, but Marquinhos successfully blocked him from scoring. Vitinha doubled PSG’s lead midway through the second half.

Troyes grew into the game and scored thanks to Xavier Chavalerin, but PSG soon added a third goal through Fabian Ruiz as they held off any possible comeback from the home side.

PSG are now just three wins away from lifting the Ligue 1 trophy, as they are six points clear of Lens, who are in second place with just four games left till the season concludes.
