PSG star Lionel Messi has received a big offer to play in Saudi Arabia, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 35-year-old Argentine forward has drawn intense transfer interest from the MLS and his former side Barcelona. Messi’s contract with PSG expires in the summer. When Argentina won the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, PSG were eager to retain the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner and wanted him to commit his future to the team. The Barcelona legend could leave as a free agent after the conclusion of the current campaign because the Ligue 1 champions have been unable to tie Messi down to a new contract.

Al Hilal of the Saudi Pro League has reportedly made an official bid for Messi, along with an eye-watering salary, claims transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The Saudi Arabian club has reportedly offered the Argentina skipper a staggering salary of more than €400 million, writes Romano. Messi and his fierce on-field adversary Cristiano Ronaldo would be reunited in Saudi Arabia if Al Hilal can complete the deal because Ronaldo recently finished a lucrative transfer from Manchester United to Al Nassr.
