Manchester City yesterday eased past Bristol city 3-0 in the FA cup.

England forward Phil Foden struck twice to give Pep Guardiola’s side a deserved win. Foden opened the scoring just seven minutes after kick-off after Riyald Mahrez found him at the far post with a lovely ball, with Foden hitting the roof of the net. He then added his second of the game after Argentina star Julian Alvarez flicked the ball backwards and Foden clinically finished past Mac O’Leary.

Kevin De Bruyne returned after sitting out the last two games due to illness, while former Leeds star Kalvin Phillips started for just the second time in his Manchester City career. He killed the game off with a third goal late in the game to take Manchester City to the next round.

In other results, Premier League side Leicester City were beaten 2-1 by Blackburn City on Tuesday.
