Lamelo Ball

Charlotte Hornets player Lamelo Ball has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering an ankle injury in their win against the Detroit Pistons.

He will miss the rest of the regular season with the injury, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania after further analysis. Lamelo was injured in the third quarter after he went down to the ground with no contact from another player as he tried to make a dribble and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Ball missed the first 13 games of the season with a Grade 2 sprain of his left ankle.  He reinjured the ankle three games into his return and was sidelined for another 11 games. The former number two overall pick in the 2020 draft, Lamelo Ball, is averaging a career high 23 points. His brother, Lonzo Ball, who plays for the Chicago Bulls, was ruled out for the remainder of the season after making no progress in his return.
