Manchester United have confirmed that midfielder Mason Mount has suffered an injury.
The England midfielder was signed for a fee worth £55 million from Premier League rivals Chelsea. He has, however, endured a difficult start to life at Old Trafford, as he has barely been involved in the team’s effort.
He was withdrawn late in the game during United’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspurs during the weekend. He is expected to miss the upcoming United games as he will return to action after the international break.
Manchester United released a statement confirming the news: “Mason Mount is set to miss Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest due to an injury picked up in last weekend’s encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.” Read the statement.
