Manchester United suffered a 3-2 home defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League.

Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring for United in the first half, but minutes later Wilfried Zaha levelled the score after a brilliant solo effort. In the second half, Hojlund thought he had scored, only for his goal to be ruled offside.

Hojlund then scored his second goal of the game after Sanchez made a mistake and finished off a fine move. Four minutes later, Galatasary scored the leveller again, much to the annoyance of United.

Galatasaray were then awarded a penalty after Casemiro brought down Dries Mertens in an effort to correct Onana’s mistake. Icardi threw the penalty wide off the post. It did not take long, and Mauricio Icardi was put through on goal, and he made a lovely dink over Onana and scored the winning goal.

Manchester United are at the bottom of the group with zero wins from two games played.
