Crystal Palace forward Michael Olise has signed a new four-year deal to stay at the club.

Last week, it was reported that Chelsea had activated his £35 million release clause in his previous contract, and they had already agreed personal terms with Olise. Crystal Palace were left frustrated with how Chelsea approached the situation and threatened to report Chelsea to the FA.

Upon learning of the issue, Chelsea opted to leave the negotiations as they insisted they did nothing wrong. Olise decided to commit his future to the palace. The hall loan deal to Crystal Palace also failed to materialise due to the same reasons.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish revealed the news yesterday on his social media pages. “I’m absolutely delighted to announce Michael Olise has decided to commit his future to Crystal Palace football club and this afternoon signed a new four-year deal with the club.” Steve Parish wrote.
