Mikel Arteta has insisted Eberechi Eze will be important for Arsenal this season.
Eze was signed from Crystal Palace at the beginning of the season to help strengthen the creativity in the Arsenal squad. He has had ups and downs at the club since he arrived. He scored a memorable hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby last year. He has 4 goals in the Premier League and 2 assists. He produced 2 assists in their win against Wigan in the FA Cup during the weekend.
Speaking after the win, Arteta backed Eze to perform for Arsenal. “Eze is already playing a big role. He’s played a lot of games for us, and he will continue to. Those players need those moments, and especially when we talk about the creative players, they need to feel that they are producing those moments.” He said.
