Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope has been diagnosed with a shoulder injury and will be sidelined for four months.

Pope was substituted in the second half of their 1-0 win over Manchester United during the weekend. It will be a big blow for the Eddie Howe side, who are in contetion for many games this December, including their Champions League group game.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has been rumoured to be available as a free agent, while Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has also been entioned as being  in contention during the January transfer window.

The St. James Park-based side is already hit with many injuries to star players like Dann Burn, Longstaff, and Callum Wilson.
