Former Tusker FC goalkeeper has given an emotional goodbye to his former club after signing a contract with Kenya Police football club.
In a statement issued on his official social media pages, the shot stopper thanked the management, fans, players and backbench staff for the support they accorded him while in the club.
“I take this opportunity to thank the fans, players, technical bench, backroom staff and the management of Tusker FC for the support you accorded me during my second stint with the club.
As I leave this great family, I would wish to assure you that I will always be grateful for the trust you placed in me, from the very first day until the last, and will cherish the memories we made together both on and off the pitch.” read Matasi’s statement
The 35-year-old netkeeper had 18 clean sheets last season and played his last game for the Tusker against Posta rangers where they won 1 goal to nil.
With the coming in of Matasi, Kenya Police Fc will be looking to bolster their squad in bid to challenge for the Kenya Premier league title for the first time.
