Following their 2-0 loss to Kenya Police, Bidco United head coach Anthony Akhulia gave a post-mortem on what went wrong.

In what was their first defeat of the season, Akhulia highlighted that the midfield department was the root cause of everything that went wrong in the game.

“It was a game where we were not at our best,” Akhulia said, “We struggled especially in midfield considering we played the last game so well,”

“I was expecting they would do the same as they did in the last match against Talanta but it wasn’t. (Said) Tsuma, (Daglas) Mokaya, and Zizou (Martin Mbugua) all struggled in the middle so it was a game we thought would be easy but wasn’t.”

However, he was quick to praise the team’s effectiveness in creating chances from set pieces.

“It is something we have been doing. We have been very good in terms of creating setpieces especially in the opponents’ attacking third, and it has been helping us.

Sitting tenth on the FKF-PL log, having accumulated six points, Akhulia believes they are in the right direction.

“This is only our fifth match though so I think we will go back and see who comes in, who deserves to rest, and who warrants playing well against Bandari in our next match because we have a good squad.”
