Barcelona forward and Spanish international Lamine Yamal has signed his new contract extension with the Catalans today that will keep him at the Nou Camp until 30th June 2026.

The young Spanish forward signed his contract extension at the Barcelona offices today in the morning in an event that was witnessed by Barcelona president Joan Laporta.

Lamine Yamal became Barcelona’s youngest player to play for Barcelona when he made his debut against Real Betis in April when his was only 15years and 9 months.

Since then, Lamine Yamal has continued to impress and also he made history as he became the youngest starter in Barcelona’s history at 16 years and 38 days when he started against Cadiz.

His involvement in champions league match against Royal Antwerp made him Barcelona’s youngest debutant in the Champions League, and the second in the history of the competition, with 16 years and 68 days.

Lamine Yamal has also been able to represent his national team Spain against Georgia aged 16years and 57 days making him the youngest player to represent the Spanish national team.

Lamine Yamal goal against Georgia when Spain demolished Georgia 7-1 made him the youngest goal scorer of the Spanish national team.

Yamal will be out to make his first Champions League start in Wednesday’s Group H battle with Porto, as Raphinha’s replacement after the Brazilian picked up hamstring injury during their match against Sevilla.
