The Portland Trail Blazers traded guard Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics on Sunday night.
The Boston Celtics revealed that they had acquired All-Star guard Jrue Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon, and two future first-round draft picks.
Holiday, 33, was recently acquired by Portland from the Milwaukee Bucks as part of a three-team transaction that also included Damian Lillard, a seven-time All-Star who was headed to Milwaukee.
The Celtics released a statement confirming the news. “We are excited to see Jrue in a Celtics uniform. He plays the game with a great competitive character, and his impact on and off the court has been felt everywhere throughout his career,” read the statement.
