Jarrold Bowen scored the winner as West Ham defeated Fiorentina 2-1 to win the Europa League.

Said Benrahma’s goal for the Hammers in the 62nd minute gave them the lead. West Ham had been given a penalty following a VAR review. After sloppy defense from Moyes’ team, Fiorentina quickly equalized with Giacomo Bonaventura. Bowen seized on a feed from Lucas Paqueta in the dying seconds of the match, hammered home a low finish, and ignited frenzied celebrations at the Fortuna Arena.

The win was the first for West Ham in over 40 years, and West Ham fans will be happy with the team’s performance in the European competition after performing poorly in the Premier League.

Speaking after the win, West Ham captain Declan Rice addressed rumors about his future. “At the moment, there’s a lot of speculation going on about my future. There is interest out there from other clubs, but ultimately, I’ve still got two years left at West Ham. I love this club, but there hasn’t been anything yet. My focus is on playing for West Ham, enjoying tonight, and seeing what happens. I’m captain of this club; I love it to pieces and cannot speak highly enough of this place. Let’s see what happens. Who knows.” He said.
