Rasmus Hojlund came off the bench to score twice as United completed a comeback to beat Plzen.
In the first half, with few limited chances, United found it difficult to break down the defence of Plzen in the Europa League as both teams went into halftime on a goalless draw.
However, in the second half, the home side scored the opening goal through Vydra after a mistake by Andre Onana just minutes after the restart. Rasmus Hojlund then came in for Marcus Rashford and wasted no time in levelling things for United after lovely link-up play by Antony and Diallo. The Denmark international then scored the winner for United in the 88th minute after meeting Bruno Fernandes clever pass.
Speaking after the game, Hojlund stated that United still needs time to do well under Amorim. “It’s getting better and better under Rúben Amorim”.We still need more time. It’s about getting our routines together, and it’s getting there. But it still needs practice and time. I know it sounds odd, but we don’t get enough time on the training ground! he said.
