Newcastle have opened talks with Southampton for the signing of Aaron Ramsdale.
Southampton has reportedly asked for a large fee in order to let the former Arsenal goalkeeper leave. Reports suggest that a high loan fee with a buy option is currently in discussion for Newcastle. They are trying to strengthen their team ahead of the Premier League return and European football next season.
Eddie Howe’s side have been having a bad transfer window, as the majority of their summer targets have gone to other clubs. Ekitike signed for Liverpool even after the Carabao champions made contact with Frankfurt to enquire about the conditions of the deal. They have also been dealta major blow after their superstar Alexander Isak told them he wants to leave the club.The swedish striker has being training on his own and is not expected to join the club in pre season tour.
