Barely two days after Kelvin Kiptum broke the 2023 TCS London Marathon course record after storming to the tape in an emphatic 2:01:25, Qiaodan- a Chinese shoe brand is set to take him to court due to a breach of a contract agreement.

According to reports from Corredori- a Spanish outlet, the 23-year-old wore Nike-sponsored clothes wear which was a breach of contract.

The reports state that Qiaodan signed a 15 million Kshs through his representative Marc Corstjens. They were to dress the Marathon prodigy in his races. It is now understood that the intention of the Chinese brand is to take the case to court and resolve the issue in the most satisfactory way for the firm
