Arsenal defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.
Premier League champions Manchester City have now lost two consecutive games in a row for the first time since 2018. Bukayo Saka missed the game for Arsenal through injury. In the first half of just a few chances, the city almost took the lead when Raya’s clearance was deflected by Alvarez, but it went wide.
In the second half, both teams improved their performances, but neither made any meaningful attempts. Substitute Gabriel Martinelli scored the winner through the deflection of Nathan Ake in the final minute to give Arsenal the three points.
Arsenal are now joint top of the Premier League with rivals Tottwnham Hitspurs, while Manchester City dropped to third place.
