Bayern Munich on Thursday released a statement confirming the suspension of Senegal forward Sadio Mane.
According to reports, Leroy Sane and Sadio Mane exchanged some physical blows in the locker room. They were discussing a move that failed during their 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the Champions League, and things got a little heated after that. Mane reportedly gave Sane a hard slap, slightly busting his lip in the process.
Bayern Munich released a statement through their social media pages. “Sadio Mane, 31 years old, will not be included in the FC Bayern squad for this Saturday’s home match against 1899 Hoffenheim,” said Bayern in a statement on Thursday. This is due to his misconduct after Bayern’s Champions League match at Manchester City. “Mane will also be given a fine,” read the statement.
