Damian Lillard scored a game-high 39 points in his Milwaukee debut as they defeated the Sixers 118-117.

Lillard also set the franchise record for the most points scored with 39 points, which included 17 free throws. Giannis Antetokounmpo added 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Josh Lopez had 13 points.

For the Philadelphia Sixers, Tyrese Maxey scored 31, Kelly Oubre Jr. had 27, and Joel Embiid had 24, as they missed the services of point guard James Harden, who has been wanting to be traded away from the team.

Speaking after the win, Lillard was happy with his team performance. “Typically… I’ve got to be calling the play; I’ve got to be calling out everything that’s happening. As soon as the game started, Khris Middleton was coming up to me, just kind of directing me, ‘Hey, do this.’ Brook Lopez is directing me. Everybody’s talking; everybody has experience.” He said.
