Kevin Durant scored a game-high 39 points in the Suns’ 100-95 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

In a short-term situation, Kevin Durant was the only superstar available, as both Book and Beal were both sidelined due to injuries. He scored 39 points and was able to pass Hakeem in 12th place in the all-time points chart.

For the Lakers, Antony Davis scored a team-high 30 points, while Lebron James added 21 points, Russell added another 14 points, and Austin Reaves scored 10 points in the win.

Speaking after passing Hakeem, Durant was excited to be on the list of greats. “I really admire his game and his journey as a man and as a basketball player. It’s always amazing to be amongst the greats,” he said.
