Top East African boxing athletes will compete for glory live on DStv Channel 158 and GOtv Channel 4, confirms Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) acting secretary general Julius Odhiambo.
Odhiambo confirmed this during the highly-charged weigh-in event that was held at the MultiChoice Kenya Head Office. The heavy-weight clash will bring Tanzania’s Karim ‘Mtu Kazi‘ Mandonga against Ugandan boxer Kenneth Lukyamuzi in Nairobi on March 25 in a ten-round title bout.
MultiChoice Kenya managing director Nancy Matimu echoed Odhiambo’s sentiments.
“MultiChoice Kenya is committed to enriching lives through content that educates and informs, as well as entertains, especially when Kenyans are facing huge economic pressures. Our forte in local content is unmatched and this is the first time we are giving Kenyans a treat on live local boxing while positioning our athletes on-air,” said Nancy.
