Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies has been given a 25-game suspension by the NBA for the 2023–2024 campaign.

The 23-year-old won’t be permitted to take part in any league or team activities while his ban is in effect, and the NBA will place restrictions on him before he is allowed to return to the floor.It was the second time in the past three months that Morant has flashed a gun on his social media page.


Yesterday, the NBA released a statement confirming the suspension of the Memphis star: “The NBA announced today that Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has been suspended for 25 games without pay for conduct detrimental to the league.” Read the statement.

Ja Morant himself released a statement apologizing after the incident. “I’ve had time to reflect and realize how much hurt I’ve caused. I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates, and the city of Memphis.” Read the statement.
