With a convincing 4-0 victory at Camp Nou, Real Madrid qualified for the Copa del Rey final, and Ballon d’Or recipient Karim Bemzema scored his second hat-trick of the week.
Just before halftime, Vinicius Jr. tied the score at 1-1 with a beautiful Karim Benzema cutback in between. After the interval, Karim Benzema ignited Madrid by sweeping the ball into the far corner following a dart and pass from Luka Modric. After Franck Kessie tripped Vinicius in the area, he was merciless, scoring from the penalty spot for Madrid’s third goal and adding the fourth with a lovely dink after a sharp Vinicius run.
Real Madrid qualified for the final on a 4-1 aggregate, as Barcelona had won the second leg 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
