The Dockers’ weekend tour of the city was an achievement because they won both of their games, scored over 70 points, and held their opponents to under 20 points. On Saturday, they destroyed Kenyatta University’s Oryx 79-16 before handing the Storms a comparable beating, defeating them 72-15.

Speaking after the two games, the headcoach said “Well, not really as much as we would have wanted, but a good win still. I am happy for the team. We are coming off a long layoff, and the conditioning and fitness are picking up well. We are happy with the execution, and everything is falling into place well,” Ojukwu said.

After signing Ifunaya Okoro, a star for Nigeria during the FIBA Afrobasket, Ojukwu is creating something similar to a super team. Point guard Hilda Ndegwa from their bitter foes, the Equity Hawks, has also joined them. The addition of Hilda Indasi, who had been gone since the Commonwealth Games to complete a coaching course in Germany, has also made a comeback for the team.
