Sammy Onyango, the match director, said they have been working late into the night to make sure everything is ready for the continental championship, which will be hosted in Kenya for the second time since 2021.

“We have worked very well with the local organizing committee that was formed by the Ministry of Sports, and they have provided us with proper guidance.” “We have been working on adding extra bays at the range, and this is something that would have ordinarily cost us millions of shillings,” Onyango said.

With hundreds of shooters from 13 different nations, including Kenya, set to compete in the week-long competition, Onyango claimed that things were much better this time around. A chief safety officer (CSO) shooting practice takes place on Tuesday to kick off the competition, and then one for safety officers (SOs) is held on Wednesday and Thursday. Due to the holiday, there won’t be a competition on Friday; instead, the range will be re-setup in anticipation of the Saturday and Sunday major competitions.
