Liverpool has notified RB Leipzig that they will exercise Dominik Szoboszlai’s £60 million release clause.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Szoboszlai will join Liverpool for the upcoming season after reaching a personal agreement, and Liverpool will also activate his contract’s release clause. Szoboszlai finished the previous season with 10 goals and 13 assists, and he is prepared to leave the Bundesliga team. The DFB-Pokal Cup victory over Eintracht Frankfurt felt like a good ending.
Leipzig’s interest in Fabio Carvalho will be used as leverage by Liverpool, although negotiations for the 20-year-old’s transfer have already begun. Jurgen Klopp’s side have already completed the signing of Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton as they try to shape up their midfield options for next season.
