Algeria foward Riyad Mahrez scored a second half hat-trick as Manchester City defeated Sheffield United 3-0 in the FA Cup semifinal at Wembley Stadium.

After a challenging first half in which City struggled against Paul Heckingbottom’s team and grew upset by them, they managed to win a penalty thanks to a bad tackle on Bernardo Silva by striker Daniel Jebbison, which gave Mahrez the opportunity to score after Haaland opted not to take the penalty kick after missing one last week against Bayern Munich.

Riyald Mahrez then ran through the entire Blades team from the center circle and doubled their lead to 2-0. He then produced a wonderful first-time finish to become the only Manchester City player to score a treble at Wembley and the first player to do so since 1958.

Manchester City will play either Manchester United or Brighton in the final.
