Manchester United Crash Out Of Europe After Sevilla Humiliation

On Thursday, Manchester United were eliminated from the Europa League after a disastrous 3-0 loss against an immensely dominant Sevilla team.

Harry Maguire had another terrible outing, giving the ball away to help Sevilla’s opener after he scored an own goal in last week’s 2-2 draw, while David de Gea contributed to all three goals scored as he was at fault for the second goal as he pushed Loic Bade’s header into his own goal. He also gave the ball away as he tried to control the ball, and Youssef En Nesyri capitalized as he scored Sevilla’s third goal of the night.

Speaking after the game,Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag defended David De Gea for his mistake. “He’s the one with the most clean sheets in the Premier League, so that shows he’s a very capable goalkeeper.” “We have to learn. We have to start games better with more desire, passion, and composure on the ball. And when we have a setback, we have to deal with it and get back on track. We have to be better.” He continued.
