Manchester United will look to revive their hopes of qualifying to the next round of champions league tonight when they welcome FC Copenhagen at Old Trafford at 22:00hrs.

The Red devils have lost their first two matches of group for the first time in their history and they will be looking to put this misery behind as they aim to win their first match.

Manchester United currently occupies the last position in group A. Incase they lose tonight, it means they will have to win all of their return leg matches or they will face early exit from the competition.

Manchester United will have to rely on Rasmus Højlund who is the top scorer in the champions league as he has three goals in two matches alongside Julian Alvarez of Manchester City.

Manchester United will miss the services of Brazilian international Casemiro who is suspended after picking up a red card in their last match against Galatasaray.

Manchester United will also welcome back Spanish left Sergio Reguilon who has recovered from injury he suffered after only playing two matches since his loan move from Tottenham Hotspurs as confirmed by Manchester United manager Eric ten Hag.

“Sergio was fit [on Friday], trained all last week and yesterday he was part of training and today he will train and we have to assess if he is ready and game fit and can be involved in the squad.”

Tonight’s match will see Rasmus Hojlund come up against a former team in FC Copenhagen, and Ten Hag backed the United striker to add to the two goals he scored in a hectic Champions League loss to Galatasaray earlier this month.

“He’s always playing in scoring positions in our team and I’m confident [he will score goals], as well for Marcus Rashford the same,” Ten Hag said.
