Mathare United’s interim coach Samuel Koko has admitted that he is ready to assume permanent managerial duties if he is bestowed the position.
The goalkeeping head coach assumed the position after Boniface Omondi was fired after a series of poor results. During Omondi’s time, Mathare United managed to bag only four points in his ten games in charge.
Koko turned things around at the club helping the club escape the relegation zone after bagging four wins in the six games played. The most recent landmark win was against the log leaders Gor Mahia where they thumped them 2-1.
“If I am given the permanent coaching offer, I will take it. It is a big job but in this career, no one wants to remain stagnant. I would love to make the next step so if I am entrusted with that role, I will greatly take it in.” he disclosed to Mozzart Sport.
