Gor Mahia’s tactician Jonathan McKinstry has comforted the club’s loyals by assuring them of a good finish to the end of the season amid heated pressure from Tusker.
The barren draw against Sofapaka on Wednesday and the hard-fought win by Tusker narrowed the gap between them to just four points with the brewers having a game in hand.
“Our points per game is the highest this season, and we just have to keep doing it. If we maintain the form we’ve had in the last five games, we’ll maintain the top spot for the entire season,” said the tactician.
Looking ahead the gaffer believes that the title is theirs for the taking if they surmount the remaining opponents.
“We expect it to be a tight last two months of the season. There are a lot of big games coming; against Tusker FC, Police FC and AFC Leopards, but our opponents equally have tough matches lined up. But for us the quality we’re showing is good enough and we’re confident looking forward,” he added
K’Ogalo’s next outing will be against exciting Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday. He believes with the depth he has he will surprise his opponents.
“The quality of training was always good, but it has gone up a level. The level of play has equally taken a big step up; against Vihiga and Sofapaka, it was evident.” He concluded.
