Chelsea announced on Sunday the sacking of Graham Potter, who was brought in to replace Thomas Tuchel early in September.

Graham Potter was supposed to lead Chelsea for the long-term project, but what went wrong for the England-born manager?
    1.Key Injuries.
Many of Chelsea’s stars have been constantly injured this season, hence some of their poor performances. Ngolo Kante just made his first appearance for Chelsea under Potter just before his sacking. Mason Mount, Thiago Silva, Wesley Fofana, Edouard Mendy, Christian Pulisic, Ben Chillwell, Raheem Sterling, and Reece James have missed some significant time on the sidelines.

    2.Many Additions
Since the owners took over at Chelsea, there have been a lot of signings, especially in January, including Enzo Fernadez, Mudyrk, Madueke, Joao Felix, Wesley Fofana, and Aubameyang, which made it difficult for Graham Potter to maintain a first team.

    3.Poor Substitutions.
Graham Potter has been really bad at reading the game and making the right substitutions. During the draw against Everton, after Chelsea took the lead, he decided to withdraw a striker for Conor Gallagher, which ended up costing him the game. Also, Mudyrk has seen limited minutes, hence barely making an impact.

4. Poor tactical decisions.
During the loss to Aston Villa, Potter opted to use Loftus Cheek as a wingback at the expense of Reece James, who plays better there. During the seven loosing streak, he preferred the use of the back four, which did not work well for him. Mason Mount has also been frozen out of the squad amid rumors that he may be leaving the club.
