1.Julian Nagelsmann
Julian Nagelsmann is a leading contender to take over at Stamford Bridge after being fired from Bayern Munich. Nagelsmann, 35, is still regarded as one of the most promising head coaches in global football. Before being hired by Bayern in 2021, he was successful at Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
2.Mauricio Pochettino
Since his disastrous tenure at Paris Saint-Germain ended in the summer, Pochettino has been jobless, and Chelsea would surely consider hiring him. They will be cautious of his lackluster performance in Paris, though, and could come up against fierce competition from his old club Tottenham now that they are looking to replace Antonio Conte.
3.Luis Enrique
After Spain’s 2022 World Cup quarterfinal exit, Luis Enrique resigned as manager. The 52-year-old’s lack of Premier League managerial experience and extended absence from the professional game could work against him in future job interviews. The 38-year-old has developed quite a reputation in recent years.
4.Ruben Amorim
Amorim left Braga after a year to join Sporting CP in Lisbon, where he has been very successful ever since. When Tuchel was fired, Amorim surfaced as one of the candidates for the position, and now that Potter has been fired, the Blues may pursue him.
5.Zinedine Zidane
Since his second tenure as Real Madrid manager ended in 2021, Zidane has been playing hard to get. The three-time Champions League champion coach has reportedly drawn interest from PSG, France, and the United States, but for the time being, he is still a free agent. The temptation would be for Chelsea to attempt to entice him to Stamford Bridge.
