Having knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup earlier this year, Manchester United will hope for another strong performance against Mikel Arteta’s side.

United settled for a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad in the Europa League this week, a competition that has become the major focus this season.

Arsenal, on the other hand, come into this match full of confidence after thrashing PSV Eindhoven 7-1. While catching Liverpool at the top of the table seems unlikely, Arteta’s side is still fighting hard.

Arteta has won his last four league meetings against United, and will be looking to help the Gunners become the first side to win five times in a row against the Red Devils in the Premier League era.

Arsenal could also win back-to-back league games at Old Trafford for the first time since 1979.

United will likely be without several key players, as Amorim has hinted that Manuel Ugarte and Harry Maguire may not be risked after missing the trip to Sociedad.

Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo remain long-term absentees, while Patrick Dorgu is suspended after his red card against Ipswich.

Jonny Evans is also unavailable, and although Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw, and Mason Mount will return this season, they will not be fit for Sunday’s game.

For Arsenal, there are no fresh injury concerns. Mikel Merino, who scored in the PSV win, should lead the attack alongside Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri.

The Gunners are still missing Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Arsenal rediscovered their scoring mojo in the win over PSV, and that could be the type of result that helps the Gunners overcome their recent scoring problem.

The Red Devils will battle hard in this one, but the visitors are likely going to edge this one.
