Arsenal dropped points in a crucial game after their 2-2 draw against Wolves on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s side took the lead when Bukayo Saka headed home a Declan Rice cross early on. Jose Sa stood strong to deny Noni Madueke’s effort as well as Gabriel Martinelli, who started in the day. Wolves offered little in attack in the first half as Arsenal led 1-0 at the halftime break.

In the second half, Armstrong almost brought Wolves level, but his left-footed effort narrowly went over the bar. Hincapie scored his first goal for Arsenal to give them a commanding 2-0 lead. Wolves pulled one immediately through Harry Bueno, who curled in a wonderful strike. More drama was witnessed in the added time when Raya and Gabriel had a miscommunication and the ball fell to Edozie, who thumbed the ball in via Calafiori deflection.

Speaking after dropping points, Bukayo Saka admitted the team dropped the standards. “It’s pretty flat. We’re pretty disappointed with the result; it’s the only way to describe it. I think it’s a game of two halves. In the first half we started so well, but in the second half we dropped the level and got punished for it.” He said.
