Kenyan teams delivered an outstanding performance at the African Women’s Club Volleyball Championship, with two clubs finishing on the podium in a strong display of the country’s growing dominance in women’s volleyball.
Al Ahly Women’s Volleyball Club claimed the championship title after defeating KCB Women’s Volleyball Club in a competitive final. KCB settled for second place, earning a well-deserved silver medal after an impressive run throughout the tournament.
In the third-place playoff, Kenya Pipeline Company Volleyball Club secured bronze by defeating Club Féminin de Carthage 3–1. Pipeline started strongly, taking the first set 25-17 before Carthage responded to win the second 26-17. The Kenyan side regained control in a tightly contested third set, edging it 26-24, and sealed victory with a 25-21 win in the fourth.
The results underline Kenya’s strength on the continental stage, with both KCB and Pipeline proving their quality. Their podium finishes highlight the continued rise and competitiveness of Kenyan women’s volleyball across Africa.
