Just before halftime, Mikel Merino put Arsenal ahead again with a stunning header from Declan Rice’s free kick.
After the break, Liverpool improved and created many chances, but Raya stood strong in goal. In the final minutes of the game, Mohammed Salah levelled for Liverpool after an unselfish play by Darwin Nunez, who was set free by Alexander Arnold.Arsenal injury woes continued as Brazil defender Gabriel was subbed off after a knee injury, and Timber was streched off in the final minutes.
Speaking after the game, Liverpool captain Virgil Van Djik insisted it was a fair result: “Man City lost here, and they won the league… I’ve read so many things that Arsenal are out of the title race if they lose.” “We’re in the business where you can be on top one week and then not… Just enjoy the ride.” He said.
